About Canadian Liberty Alliance Society (CLAS)

In the summer of 2022, a dedicated group of like-minded individuals came together to support freedom-loving candidates running for local elections in the fall of 2022. Very quickly the group grew beyond this mission to include supporting each other and finding practical and powerful ways to educate Canadians about the rapid erosion of democracy in Canada, largely brought about by pandemic-related government measures.

Recognizing the healing potential of taking action, we galvanized into weekly meetings focused on finding ways to push back against encroaching tyranny and to stand up for the fundamental rights and freedoms guaranteed to every Canadian in our Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

After several brainstorming sessions, the group settled on the name Canadian Liberty Alliance, and we refined our vision and mission statement. We continued to meet weekly at various locations, ultimately settling into Monday evening meetings at Oaklands Bible Chapel in Victoria. The Pastor and congregation had, from the beginning of the pandemic, supported our constitutionally-protected freedoms and individual liberty. It felt like a good fit.

By the fall of 2022, the group had become a cohesive collective, and we moved to the next step of forming a registered society to formalize our dedication to full financial and transactional transparency. On October 21, 2022 we officially became the Canadian Liberty Alliance Society.

To ensure a common understanding of how our group would operate and communicate, and to fill out our vision and mission in more detail, we embarked on a series of collaborative workshops to draft and finalize our Group Agreements document. When questions come up about how decisions are made or what values guide our interactions, we return again and again to this guiding document.

Our Action Groups continue to evolve as new developments require us to remain nimble and focus our efforts on the most pressing issues threatening our Canadian way of life. Sadly, we find no shortage of government actions that require exposure, education, and push-back, if we are to preserve a free and democratic society for our children and grandchildren.

Currently, our Health and Wellness group is actively working on building a parallel health system while supporting members and the vaccine-injured who continue to show up at our meetings looking for help. Our Mandate Outreach group is focused on educating the public and health professionals about the truth and impact of government mandates, as well as challenging proposed legislation designed to further erode our freedoms.

Please join us as we continue to stand up for the rights and freedoms enshrined in Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
